Covid-19 Guidelines

On November 17, 2020, the State of Ohio Health Department issued a revised order for wedding and event receptions. Venues are subject to the following restrictions:

  • No socializing or activities in open congregate areas and no dancing. 

  • Guests must be seated at all times. Traditional wedding reception events such as first dance, toasts, tossing the bouquet and cutting the cake are permitted.

  • If serving food and beverages, guests must be served at their seats. No self-serve buffets and no self-serve bar areas permitted.

  • Masks must be worn at all times unless actively consuming food or beverages.

  • No more than 10 people should be seated at a table and those individuals must be from the same household.

 

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have a mask requirement for your guests? What about for employees?

The Sanctuary on Neil staff and all vendors will be required to wear a mask throughout the entire event. Per the State of Ohio Health Department revised order issued on November 17, 2020, masks must be worn by guests at all times unless actively consuming food or beverages.

What kind of cleaning and sanitizing will be done prior to our event? What about during our event?

We deep clean before and after every event (regardless of COVID) and will have an employee specifically designated to sanitizing high traffic areas during your event.

Will you have or can we set up hand sanitizing stations or mobile hand-washing stations?

We have bottles of hand sanitizer placed throughout the building. Guests will also have access to hand-washing sinks within each bathroom facility.

What safety measures do you have in place for staff?

We temperature check all our employees before entering the building.

How far apart will the tables and chairs be spread out to keep our guests safely distanced?

In compliance with COVID-19 floor plans, guest tables will have a minimum of 6 ft between each chair from the corresponding table(s).

How can you encourage social distancing during cocktail hour, knowing that we will have clusters of people, especially at the bar? 

Per the State of Ohio revised health order, all guests must be seated at a table/cocktail table during cocktail hour and throughout the event. Guests are encouraged to only interact with those in their "pod," but ultimately that is left up to individuals as our staff cannot determine and enforce who is in whose "pod." Guests will not be served if there is clustering at the bar. We recommend one person from each “pod” collect everyone else’s drink order.

What kind of ventilation is available? Can we leave the doors and/or windows open?

We have a have a brand new, state-of-the-art HVAC system complete with premium air filters. Due to security, we will not prop open any doors.
