+ Are tables, chairs and linens provided or will I have to rent them myself?

All tables and chairs are provided at no additional cost. Our 60” round tables can seat 8-10 people. The Sanctuary on Neil team takes care of all set up and tear down. Chairs are included for up to 170 guests. Additional chair and linen options are available from our event rental partners at Event Source.

+ Is there a dance floor?

The Ballroom is not only an ideal place to play music, but it also serves as a great dance floor with its durable hardwood floors and gorgeous chandeliers.

+ Are there changing areas for the bride, groom, and/or wedding party?

Yes, there is a bridal suite with mirrors and soft seating and is available at no additional charge for the duration of the rental of The Sanctuary on Neil. The groomsmen have changing space as well.

+ Is there parking on site? If not, where will my guests park?

Self-parking is available on the street or at nearby parking garages. There is also plenty of free parking around Goodale Park, just one block from our venue.

+ Do you have an in-house caterer or a list of "preferred" caterers, or do I need to provide my own?

We work with several caterers and have a preferred list of trusted caterers, as well, for your convenience. **

+ What is the building capacity?

175 people including the wedding party

+ What is the average budget for a couple getting married at The Sanctuary?

**This is such a great question! Most couples average between $20,000 to $30,000 for all expenses including venue, food, photos etc. but of course it depends on wedding size and the various choices you make.

+ Can we bring our own wine, beer or champagne? What about hard liquor?

No. All alcohol must be purchased through The Sanctuary and must be consumed on the premise by law. At no time shall any outside alcohol be brought onto the premises.

+ Can we use candles, confetti, sparklers, etc.?

Candles are permitted as long as they are enclosed. Candles and their desired location must be approved by your Event Coordinator. Sparklers are permitted outside only, in a designated location.

+ Can the venue accommodate a DJ or live band?

Yes. Please note that provisions for any type of entertainment are the responsibility of the client and are subject to approval by the The Sanctuary On Neil team.

+ How many hours does the facility rental fee include?

Facility rental includes six (6) hours of rental time and is open to the clients three hours prior to the event for set up and prep. The Sanctuary on Neil conducts normal business up until approximately three hours prior to the event start. This includes but is not limited to final walk throughs,tours and dance lessons. Clients understand that if decorations are set up prior to the three hours,it is the responsibility of the client and not The Sanctuary for safe keeping of items.The client is given one (1) hour directly following the end of their rental period to remove any belongings.

+ What form of payment does The Sanctuary accept?

We accept cash or check.
